Pre-qualifications for Labor Doula Trainers and Postpartum & Infant Care Doula Trainers:

ProDoula Certified Elite in the modality that you wish to become a trainer for
Hold the highest level of certification in a second ProDoula modality
ProDoula Certified Elite prior to the submission of your resume and letter of intent
Current ProDoula member in good standing
Current doula business owner (Agency, IC, or Independent) in good legal standing

Pre-qualifications for Childbirth Educator and Infant Feeding Educator Trainer:

ProDoula Certified in the modality that you wish to become a trainer for
Hold the highest level of certification in a second ProDoula modality
Current ProDoula member in good standing
Current doula business owner (Agency, IC, or Independent) in good legal standing

The Process for Becoming a Member of the ProDoula Training & Development Team:

Step 1: Choose the modality/modalities that you would like to teach
Step 2: Work to achieve the pre-qualifications listed above
Step 3: Gather experience in the modality of your choosing
Step 4: Apply to become a trainer by filling out the application linked below and uploading your resume and a letter of intent.
Step 5: The office will contact you to arrange an interview. (All applicants will be considered and interviewed)
Step 6: After your interview, a 2nd appointment will be scheduled. During this meeting, you will either be offered a position and introduced to trainer requirements and pay structure or we will share with you why you were not selected at this time and encourage you to reapply in the future.
Step 7: Once offered a position on the ProDoula Training & Development Team and informed of the responsibilities, you may accept or decline the offer without prejudice. If you accept the offer, an independent contractor agreement will be sent to you for signature.
Step 8: Choose the dates most convenient for you, register and attend your Trainer’s Training!
Step 9: Begin training birth professionals in the modality/modalities of your choosing!
Step 10: Refer to yourself as an esteemed member of the ProDoula Training & Development Team!
