Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I am a wife, mother of 5, and former labor & delivery nurse of more than 15 years! I served as a labor and delivery nurse in the United States Air Force for 7 of those years. Since leaving the military, I’ve continued my career as a nursing instructor, floor nurse, and now doula. During that time, I helped so many mothers and families through their ups and downs, joys and even heartbreak. Even as a trained nurse, I can remember wanting to reach out and ask others if everything was normal and okay.

What led you to become a Doula?: Now, I enjoy the chance to be the trusted source of information and care that you, as a new (or repeat!) mother may need during this time. Becoming a doula has allowed me to have the best part of my nursing job: bonding with my patients and empowering them to advocate for their needs. My goal is to help you create the pregnancy, labor and postpartum experience that you and your family truly desire.
