Meet Your ProDoula
Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I have been present for births of loved ones in the hospital setting as well as having my own children in birthing centers and at home. I became a doula to help empower every woman to feel heard and help in advocating their decisions and desires through the vulnerably journey of birth and postpartum.
What led you to become a Doula?: Knowing that pregnancy, birth and parenthood is an experience many can relate to; finding unbiased, non-judgmental and holistic support can be difficult to find - even from those we love most. As a doula I am excited to be able to fill this role that many people need in allowing their decisions and wants to be advocated for instead of scrutinized. My goal is to be the help, the listener, the cheerleader, the shoulder or the counselor that my client needs to feel supported.
