Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I have been to many of my friends births and always been the person for them to lean on with any questions or concerns prenatally, during labor, and postpartum. I have three kids of my own and have experienced birth first hand.
What led you to become a Doula?: I have attended many births starting at a young age when my grandma bred Chihuahuas. I started delivering puppies at the age of 10 and was always intrigued by birth. After having my 3rd baby and hearing more about doula work and wishing I had a doula at all of my births I decided to become one to be able to educate other birthing people.
What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:
That I have the ability to approach delicate issues with love and sensitivity, but also the voice to help the birthing person advocate for all parties involved.
