Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I have been a babysitter, nanny, childcare provider, substitute teacher at "Bellingham Childcare and Learning Center" and as a Maternity Clothing sales associate. I have a passion for working with families.

What led you to become a Doula?: I have always wanted to work with mothers and newborns. I feel like I could really make a difference by providing the support that families need when bringing home their newborn.

What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:

Caring, determined, always putting others before herself, being a go to for support, and being a wonderful listener.

What are your favorite pregnancy/parenting resources?: I love reading and researching. So anything that is backed up with a lot of good information.

What thoughts come to mind when you see a pregnant woman or brand new mom?: How exciting it is and what a blessing it is for that mother to be bringing new life into this world.

What is the best gift you can give a new mom (as a Doula)?: My support. I want to help provide anything I can to help her recover and help her feel supported. Bringing home a new baby can be stressful but it shouldn't have to be that way. A new mother should feel confident in caring for her new baby and herself and I hope I can help with that.

What is your favorite TV show or movie?: Big Bang theory, The OA, and any Disney movie.

What is your favorite place to vacation?: Seaside, Oregon

What is your favorite food?: Everything! I really love fried zucchini .

What is your favorite way to spend a day off?: With my toddler or on a family road trip.

Who lives in your house?: My son and my fiancée.
