Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I have spent over 10 years working in the public school system, first as a paraprofessional and then as a middle school science teacher. I am also an avid traveler, have a passion for photography, and have immersed myself in the birth world since the birth of my son! My work and personal experiences have exposed me to different cultures, personalities, and ways of thinking. I am a great listener and can look at situations from multiple angles. My goal is to be your extra set of eyes and support in your journey!
What led you to become a Doula?: I became very active in the birth world after the birth of my son. I have finally found my “community” and feel at home supporting families.
What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:
I have been told that I am very intuitive and great at evaluating situations. I am also a great listener, trustworthy, and open minded. I asked my wife how she would answer this question for me and she said, “You are the most honest person I have met.” So I suppose that reinforces the above comments!
