Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: 19 years a stay-at-home mom of 3, ages 11 to 18. Several years as a volunteer nursery worker of children ages 0 -1. One year as a paid nursery worker for children ages 0 - 1. Nanny to a toddler for over 6 months.
What led you to become a Doula?: I love being around and supporting new parents.
What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:
Most people say I have a way with babies and can get even the most stubborn sleepers to calm down and rest. In nursery, parents wouldn’t leave their infants if I wasn’t available because I loved and treated them as my own.

What thoughts come to mind when you see a pregnant woman or brand new mom?: You're amazing! Your body is doing what it was designed to do. You are creating a miraculous new life. You're a super hero without a cape. You will rock this!
What is the best gift you can give a new mom (as a Doula)?: Peace of mind that she can rest and heal because her baby, family and home will be taken care of as she would want.
What is your favorite TV show or movie?: Sweet Home Alabama, British period drama
What is your favorite place to vacation?: Anywhere the cruise can take me
What is your favorite food?: Chocolate and good old Southern comfort food
What is your favorite way to spend a day off?: Exploring new places with my family
Who lives in your house?: My husband of 20 years, our two daughters, son and two dogs
