Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I am fluent in Spanish and English and conversational in Hindi. I am a yoga teacher and breath-work educator. I love energy and somatic work and I offer this service to my clients. I have a Bachelor's degree in Maternal Health and Sociology and I am in Nurse Midwifery School.

What led you to become a Doula?: I always knew one thing; I wanted to be a feminist with my hands. After a series of uncertain years working in social work at a women's center, teaching students of various ages, traveling as a semester instructor, teaching Spanish and English throughout South America and learning that birth work is such an incredible field, I finally bit the bullet and did my training with DONA International. I am now in route to become a midwife and if I am certain about anything in this lifetime it is that birth work is my calling.

What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:
