Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: Mother of 4, a licensed social worker who has over 7 years of experience working with mothers and children in a variety of settings. Currently working with pregnant moms and babies on infant mortality. Also a CLC.
What led you to become a Doula?: I have always been intrigued by birth and the female anatomy. Having 4 children of my own sparked my passion even more. I have always been the go-to for my friends who have become pregnant and had babies. I’ve always been seen as the expert on birth.

What thoughts come to mind when you see a pregnant woman or brand new mom?: I think about how powerful she is! I see nothing but power and strength. I think about all her body has endured to get pregnant, stay pregnant and to birth this new being! It’s magic!
What is the best gift you can give a new mom (as a Doula)?: Nonjudgmental support. Being than anchor for them. Being their cheerleader. Reminding them of their power and strength.
What is your favorite TV show or movie?: Black-ish
What is your favorite place to vacation?: anywhere with water & sun
What is your favorite food?: I love carbs!
What is your favorite way to spend a day off?: Laying in bed, reading, watching something funny on tv, spending time with my family, cooking!
Who lives in your house?: My husband, 4 kids (DeLon, 10- Aubrey, 6- Aahil, 4- Akeem, 1) and our dog Huncho (7months)
