Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I have 6 ½ years healthcare experience working in a hospital laboratory setting.

What thoughts come to mind when you see a pregnant woman or brand new mom?: Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Nap when you can. It’s really hard at first, but it will get better. Don’t give up, no matter how hard it gets. Find a good support group, whether it be through church or other moms, old and young. Don’t believe everything you hear, research both sides of every decision you make. No matter how many different opinions you get about a particular subject, you make the final decision and do what’s best for YOUR child. God designed you to be the momma your child needs and made you just for him/her.
What is the best gift you can give a new mom (as a Doula)?: I love to pray with and for a new mom. I love to provide a hug and a shoulder to cry on.
