Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I am a mother of two rainbow babies with plenty of experience with high risk pregnancies, miscarriages, and stillbirth. I have delivered in both hospital and home birth settings. I have a background in yoga / perinatal yoga and meditation. I also have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and evidence based science.

What led you to become a Doula?: I became passionate about birth work when I started questioning and researching everything I could get my hands on during my own pregnancy. I learned about the role of a doula and was inspired by the people who were regarded as experts in all things birth. Birth was fascinating to me, and I wanted to be an expert too! Helping others become educated and feel safe and empowered through their own experience has been a genuine love of mine ever since.

What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:

I’ve had past clients describe me as compassionate, gentle, and that I make families feel safe and cared for.
