Meet Your ProDoula
Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I am a pregnant and postpartum fitness specialist. My passion is to help women feel strong and powerful during this transitional time. I love helping women feel safe, competent and cared for.
What led you to become a Doula?: In my line of work I’ve seen how birth can be either incredibly empowering or incredibly traumatic. I want to help more women feel empowered by their birth experiences. Also, I have had two birth experiences that weren’t quite what I had hoped for. And yet , in my second birth I was much more supported and it felt so different! I want to support others the way I was supported.
What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:
I’ve been told that I am inspiring, a caring friend. I’ve been called a strong, powerful woman. I’ve been told that I’m an amazing body worker.
