Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: As a birthing person ( three children of my own, two surrogate babies, two losses & four rounds of IVF) with experience in many different areas, I understand. I know medicated birth, unmedicated birth (in and our of hospital), breastfeeding, bottle feeding and loss personally and know what a difference support makes in each and every situation.
What led you to become a Doula?: Between my own personal lived experiences, and stories of those that I love about their lived experiences, I saw a great need for more compassionate and evidence-based care. I wanted to be a part of that.

What thoughts come to mind when you see a pregnant woman or brand new mom?: Pregnant women and new mothers are amazing. I hope she knows her power, has support in her power, and feels her power.
What is the best gift you can give a new mom (as a Doula)?: Compassion. Understanding. Empathy. An ear. A hug. Encouragement. Empowerment.
