Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I been a nanny for over thirteen years of kids from 0 to 5 years old, and I am a mother as well. I also volunteer as a Doula at the SFGH. All those years working with kids thought me lots of patience. I also learned that everyone is different, and I value and respect each person that comes in my life.
What led you to become a Doula?: My love to help moms and my love for kids. I had a Doula when when my son was born, and it made such a difference in my life as a first time mother. I had no family here, so it was hard. I am glad I had a Doula, and now I want to give back.
What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:
People always say that I am caring, honest, and hardworking.
What are your favorite pregnancy/parenting resources?: Online groups, books, and professionals I met while volunteering at the hospital.
What thoughts come to mind when you see a pregnant woman or brand new mom?: The first thought is happiness for her. The second thought is if I can help her in any way in this new beautiful journey.
What is the best gift you can give a new mom (as a Doula)?: Good support, comfort, and peace of mind.

What is your favorite place to vacation?: Europe and The Caribbean.
What is your favorite food?: Sushi and Oysters.
What is your favorite way to spend a day off?: Getting a massage and a mani/pedi.
