Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I am a mother to two beautiful girls, 18 months apart. I had very hard and uneducated births and postpartum experiences and my goal is to make sure no mama ever feels unsupported.
What led you to become a Doula?: Being a mother myself, and also witnessing my niece be born. She was a stillborn at 27 weeks and my hope is to help future loss mothers cope through labor and delivery of their angels.
What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:
I am soothing and very emotionally supportive. I tend to always put others first and always want to make sure everyone is okay and taken care of.
What are your favorite pregnancy/parenting resources?: Podcasts, books, your peers, and of course.. Doulas!
What thoughts come to mind when you see a pregnant woman or brand new mom?: "I wonder how she's doing, and if there's anything she is doubting or needs help with."
What is the best gift you can give a new mom (as a Doula)?: A break! And some positive encouragement that they're doing an amazing job.

What is your favorite place to vacation?: The beach!

What is your favorite way to spend a day off?: Spending time outside at the park with my kiddos! They love playgrounds and when they're happy, I'm happy!
Who lives in your house?: Myself, my husband, my two kids, and our Blue Heeler dog :)
