Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I worked as a nanny for years, I am a mother of 3 and I also studied childcare and development in college.
What led you to become a Doula?: I wanted to be able to support laboring woman after I had my first child. I discovered what a doula was and I was thrilled to find out that I could provide woman with the kind of continuous care and support I imagined!

What thoughts come to mind when you see a pregnant woman or brand new mom?: I always smile. They are so beautiful and strong!
What is the best gift you can give a new mom (as a Doula)?: Unbiased support! So many family members and friends give advice and it can be overwhelming. Being able to listen to the mother’s wishes and needs and helping her rest and relax are great gifts for a new mom.
