Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I am CPR Certified. I am a Certified Postpartum & Infant Care Doula Services.
What led you to become a Doula?: I became interested in birth work when my mother got pregnant with my little brother. Being a little older I was able to be a huge support system for her. As I got older I grew a passion around new mothers, births, and postpartum which made me want to be apart of the process. Seeing how becoming a new mother can have it’s challenges, I wanted to do whatever I could to help and be a non judgmental team player. Learning that I could do all of these things by becoming a postpartum doula just confirmed that I needed to follow my passion.
What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:
People tell me that I always have positive energy. I try my best to look on the bright side of things.
What are your favorite pregnancy/parenting resources?: My favorite pregnancy/parenting resources are the “What to Expect” books by Heidi Murkoff. I used them myself and I feel like they were a huge help.
What thoughts come to mind when you see a pregnant woman or brand new mom?: My first thoughts are wondering how they’re doing, wanting to know how I can help, and also how I can support them.
What is the best gift you can give a new mom (as a Doula)?: Non judgmental support. I feel like there’s so many different options as a new parent you’re not exactly sure which route you would want to go sometimes. Family members and friends have a way of doing things and you just want what’s right for your baby. I want to be that judge free zone so you don’t feel pressured in the decisions youre making that works best for your child.

What is your favorite place to vacation?: Monterey Bay, CA
What is your favorite food?: Salmon
