Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: A background in mediation which prepares me to be impartial and nonjugmental and empower people to make their own informed choices.
What led you to become a Doula?: I feel like parents lack adequate support after having a baby. Our society encourages people to snap back, push through, move on. We owe parents and babies more respect and protection than that, during what is a fragile and vulnerable time for all involved. I became a postpartum doula to help more families receive that respect, protection, and support.
