Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: Bachelor of Science in Nursing from George Mason University
What led you to become a Doula?: I had an interest in it long before I even became a nurse or doula. At a young age my mother always talked about birth as a very positive empowering experience as a woman. I knew one day I would find myself in the role of supporting women during the perinatal period and ultimately began that journey after my second child was born.
What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:
Others often describe me as compassionate, tenderhearted, helpful, a good listener, loyal and one who has a serving heart. “Katie was very professional and a pleasure to have in my home. Very impressed with the cleanliness and efficiency too. Thank you!” “Katie is professional, knowledgeable and very supportive.” “Your company’s standards have made this the best postpartum experience.”
