Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I was a high school history teacher for 3 years, which has made me dynamic and built on my empathy. I have experience working with postpartum mothers as well, and I’m passionate about empowering parents through that transition.

What led you to become a Doula?: I delivered two babies - in January 2021 and July 2022 with my partner as my support person. I didn’t feel prepared when the time came to advocate for myself or to work through pain management strategies on my own. During the postpartum period, I really struggled to feel human anymore and so I decided I’d like to assist in shaping a positive birth and postpartum experience.

What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:

Calm, easy to talk to, detail-oriented and attentive.
