Meet Your ProDoula
Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: As a postpartum doula with over five years of experience, the co-owner of a busy doula agency, and a proud member of the ProDoula Training & Development team, birth work is the driving focus of my professional life. In a past life, I was a workaholic litigation attorney trying - and failing - to balance the demands of motherhood and a high pressure job. But that experience really opened my eyes to the importance of attunement and every human being’s desire to have the nonjudgmental support of someone who can just meet them where they’re at.
What led you to become a Doula?: After stumbling through two unsupported and anxious postpartum experiences with my own children, I came to the realization that new parents deserved more. This was the spark that led me to become a postpartum doula.
What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:
People often describe me as a calming presence and an empathetic and intuitive listener. I also have a bit of a silly streak and love to make people laugh.
