Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: My background is varied. I have a Master’s Degree in Psychology. I have been an educator in the field of emergency services for the past 4 years and a part of the field for 11 years. The birth and parenting of my two daughters has greatly impacted the person I have grown to be as well.
What led you to become a Doula?: I have become interested in birth over time. My experiences in providing child care, emergency services, and seeing the birth and parenting experiences of my friends and family, as well as my own 2 births have lead me to this work.

What thoughts come to mind when you see a pregnant woman or brand new mom?: I am excited for the possibilities that she has before her. I also hope she has the support team to surround her both in birth and the postpartum periods.
What is the best gift you can give a new mom (as a Doula)?: Acceptance and validation
What is your favorite TV show or movie?: My favorite movie of mine has been Lady and the Tramp ever since I was a little girl.
What is your favorite place to vacation?: The Caribbean
What is your favorite food?: Pasta dishes with creamy sauces
What is your favorite way to spend a day off?: Scuba diving or crafting
Who lives in your house?: My husband, 2 daughters, 2 dogs and 2 turtles
