Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: Professionally, I have always worked in a field where a genuine love for people is necessary. Educationally, I hold a BS in Psychology & Biology, where I have researched the role of oxytocin and maternal behavior.
What led you to become a Doula?: During EMS coursework, I was trained to deliver a baby and it was in that moment that I fully grasped how incredible the birth process really is! My reverence for a women's body and all she can accomplish, grew significantly. Ultimately, giving birth to two amazing humans myself solidified my passion to be in birth work after experiencing a major gap in maternal wellbeing and care.
