Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I have worked extensively with women and families experiencing trauma for over five years. This knowledge and sensitivity training makes me both a compassionate and empathetic birth and postpartum doula with all clients. I also value gentle guidance and information sharing, which help families embrace the decisions that feel right for them.
What led you to become a Doula?: My journey into birth work was in part a result of becoming a mother myself. My first birth is something I would class as negative and very disempowering. Thankfully, I went on to have three more very positive birth experiences, one of which was supported by a birth doula! Once I started learning and researching pregnancy, birth and early parenting, I knew I had discovered something I wanted to be more involved in. My passion for birth and new families was met with my desire and experience to continue supporting parents and here I am!
