Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I have many years of experience in Nanny work, helping new moms navigate the world of a new baby. I have always been passionate about helping families.
What led you to become a Doula?: I have always been interested in the process of birth, even as a child. I wanted to become an OB/GYN but I came to realize that being a doctor didn't have the personal connection aspect. I wanted to help a family through the whole process of labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. I wanted to be a non-biased and non-judgmental support person that can guide a family through the demanding process of birth and have them come out the other side feeling empowered and positive about the experience.
