Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I am a mother of 5 children have personally had a Military Hospital Birth (OBGYN), Civilian Hospital Birth (OBGYN), Birth Center Birth (Nurse Midwife) and Homebirth (Certified Professional Midwife) in different countries. I have also attend Doula Training in the UK in Cambridge as well as Training in Okinawa Japan and Recently I have attend Doula Training in the USA.
What led you to become a Doula?: Being a military spouse overseas and experiencing the need for pregnancy, birth and postpartum support personally, seeing how my fellow spouses struggled and needed support while dealing with their military spouse deployed and being all alone with not even family support.
What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:
That I’m a Jack of all trades and I have a endless supply of knowledge on parenting tips tricks and hacks. If it wasn’t for my support they would have never been able to breastfeed their 2nd child. That I will go out of my way to make sure they were okay.

The LLLI's Book The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding, Joe Frost Book on Confident Baby Care The four part British Television Documentary Series "Bringing Up Baby" Which fallows the three most influential forms of childcare. The Truby King method, The Benjamin Spock approach and the Continuum Concept. Each method was advised by a nanny trained in those methods.
What thoughts come to mind when you see a pregnant woman or brand new mom?: "I wonder if she knows that who she is, what she thinks is about to be flipped upside down."
What is the best gift you can give a new mom (as a Doula)?: I give a "Baby Binder" Which contains a chart to put all of babies most important information for doctors appointments as well as have a graph chart for mom to keep record of when baby last fed, slept, been changed and what kind of change, medication given. I find that in the middle of the night it helps solve what could be bothering baby and it helps anyone else watching baby to also know whats next in babies car
What is your favorite TV show or movie?: Call the Midwife, All Documentaries as well watching TV shows on how to make fast healthy meals for less.
What is your favorite place to vacation?: Okuma in Okinawa Japan

What is your favorite way to spend a day off?: Gardening and Remolding
Who lives in your house?: My Husband our 5 children Myself and my Mother is here visiting everyday.
