Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: My own birth and postpartum experience. I have a background in Early Childhood Education/Special Education and Child Development. I have worked with children ages infant through 3rd grade.
What led you to become a Doula?: My own experience with my labor/delivery and postpartum period. I gave birth to my son in March 2016 and had a lack of support during my entire labor, delivery and postpartum. This ignited a passion in me to be a support for other women.
What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:
I am a very calm, patient and kind person. I am easy to talk to and non-judgmental. I have a calming effect on people and am a good listener.

What thoughts come to mind when you see a pregnant woman or brand new mom?: I feel excited for them and a kinship from having been pregnant myself and experiencing being a new mom. Birth is a miracle and I want to be a part of it.
What is the best gift you can give a new mom (as a Doula)?: Listening to their wants and needs. Assisting them in their birth plan with compassionate and non-judgmental support.
What is your favorite TV show or movie?: Friends, The Notebook, Where The Heart Is, Hope Floats
What is your favorite place to vacation?: Anyplace on a beach and with warm weather.
What is your favorite food?: Italian food - pasta especially!
What is your favorite way to spend a day off?: Being with my family, being outside, playing games/sports
Who lives in your house?: My son, Jameson; My husband, Patrick and my mother & father.
