Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I have a BA in psychology, several years working in child care with ages 6 weeks to 5 years, and I'm a mom of three.
What led you to become a Doula?: I felt so empowered after the birth of my first child and wanted to help others feel the same. I wanted to help women feel safe and supported during this time.

What thoughts come to mind when you see a pregnant woman or brand new mom?: I wonder how she is really doing. If she feels understood and supported. I wonder if she feels overwhelmed or tired and how those emotions are validated. I am so happy to see the new, beautiful life that has entered the world. I hope she knows how important she is as a mom.
What is the best gift you can give a new mom (as a Doula)?: Support. A listening ear. A shoulder to cry on. Validation of her feelings.

What is your favorite food?: Anything sweet :)
What is your favorite way to spend a day off?: Relaxing with a good book or movie
