Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I have a long history of providing compassionate care to both people and animals in the veterinary field. After becoming a mother myself, I felt my empathy and knowledge would be put to better use working with new families.
What led you to become a Doula?: After the births of my children, I recognized the need to support all women during the birth and postpartum period - and really the lack of built-in support that most of us face. I decided it was time to use my passion and skills to help benefit other families. I really believe that raising a family takes a village, and I want to be part of your new village.

What thoughts come to mind when you see a pregnant woman or brand new mom?: I am very excited and happy for the new parent, but I am also sympathetic to all of the new emotions and responsibilities they are facing. I immediately want to lend a helping hand, in whatever way I can.
What is the best gift you can give a new mom (as a Doula)?: Confidence. I believe that every new parent just needs support and knowledge so that at the end of every day they can confidently say they are making the best decisions they can for their individual family.

What is your favorite food?: Avocados and Bacon
What is your favorite way to spend a day off?: I love to spend the day with my family, whether that means we are playing soccer in the backyard or lounging and watching movies.
Who lives in your house?: I live with my loving husband, two adorable sons, one sassy umbrella cockatoo, two spoiled pitbulls, one sweet cat, and one unimpressed bearded dragon.
