Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: Registered Nurse for 40 yrs., including experience in NICU and pediatric surgical floor. Licensed in 3 states. Worked with children and their families through the CASA organization for nine years. 3 wonderful children and 5 beautiful grandchildren.
What led you to become a Doula?: Having worked with other families and their children as a nurse as well as having my own children and grandchildren, I knew that I wanted to continue that trend. Becoming a doula has been a rewarding addition. The excellent training provided by the ProDoula organization and the certification process has provided me additional knowledge and enrichment.

What are your favorite pregnancy/parenting resources?: My favorite parenting and pregnancy resources are my doula friends, agency owners, ProDoula workbooks, podcasts and blogs by other Doulas, physicians and other parents, along with the books: “The Happiest Baby on the Block”, “Breastfeeding Made Simple”, and “Guilt Free Bottle Feeding”
What thoughts come to mind when you see a pregnant woman or brand new mom?: I usually think what a wonderful adventure they are beginning.
What is the best gift you can give a new mom (as a Doula)?: The best gift is non judgemental support, my ear, and my physical help where desired and needed.
What is your favorite TV show or movie?: The Marvelous Mrs. Maizel, Moonstruck, Parenthood, GOT, Curb Your Enthusiasm
What is your favorite place to vacation?: Any place that I have not yet visited!
What is your favorite food?: Any fruit, sushi
