Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: Registered Nurse for 40 yrs., including experience in NICU and pediatric surgical floor. Licensed in 3 states. Worked with children and their families through the CASA organization for nine years. 3 wonderful children and 5 beautiful grandchildren.
What led you to become a Doula?: Having worked with other families and their children as a nurse as well as having my own children and grandchildren, I knew that I wanted to continue that trend. Becoming a doula has been a rewarding addition. The excellent training provided by the ProDoula organization and the certification process has provided me additional knowledge and enrichment.
