Cre’shea spent a huge portion of her life cooking in fine dining restaurants, sorority houses, and whipping up wedding cakes and other confections. It wasn’t until the birth of her first child over a decade ago that she realized that her work’s purpose was better suited in another field. Big moments in life can lead to very big changes, and that’s where Doula work made its appearance in 2012.
Always the friend that could make the hard stuff seem easier to deal with, Cre’shea is the kind of Doula, teacher, and friend that people feel safe turning to.
You can find her assuredly balancing laughter while also getting on the floor with her clients to dig deeper if the moment warrants it. Cre’shea is unable to be anything but real, honest, and authentic when supporting families, and it is with these traits that she serves families navigating birth and postpartum with high emotions and risk so very well.
Her goal to support families without judgement and bias, while also being financially successful was made possible when she met her current business partners who introduced her to ProDoula.
Cre’shea has served hundreds of families over the course of her career and enjoys teaching childbirth education, infant feeding support, and providing VBAC birth support. It is her experience with teaching families about all of the nuances in labor and delivery that help set the stage for her capacity to teach those that want to be Doulas. Her investment in cultivating a strong community with Medicaid provided postpartum support and strengthening professional working relationships with local birthing facilities is one that she feels committed to.
Cre’shea is dedicated to supporting people as they take the leap into Doula work, professionally and with gentle guidance. As a Doula trainer Cre’shea believes wholeheartedly in creating a learning space that fosters unbiased, professional Doulas.
Today Cre’shea is the co-owner of Pacific Northwest Doulas in Oregon; A full-service Doula agency providing personalized and unbiased support. She lives in Lyons, Oregon with her husband, 3 children, and her dog Freddie Mercury.
