CURRENT STATUS: Labor and Postpartum and Infant Care Doula Trainer, Certified Elite Labor Doula, Certified Elite Postpartum and Infant Care Doula, Certified Advanced Postpartum Support Specialist
Meg was called to the Doula role after the birth of her two children and being in the room with her sister when she gave birth to her nephew. It was from looking through the lens of those three different births that motivated her to support women in knowing what their choices are in their maternal care. Meg has a Bachelors degree in Social Work, so the supportive role aligned with her. Meg researched labor support options and the Doula role spoke to her. Her passion is to guide clients and learners to follow their passion and achieve their goals. She feels honored to be in the birth and postpartum space with her clients and the classroom space with her learners.
Meg has been a Labor and Postpartum Doula for almost two decades and wants to channel the knowledge that she has gained in that time, and share that with her learners. She strives to teach in a fun, non-judgemental, safe space.
Meg has also worked as a solo Doula, and has been Co-Owner of two Doula agencies. Her most recent agency, The Crib, is a successful agency of Labor and Postpartum Doulas that she Co-Owns with her partner and friend Teri Hatfield. Meg strives to pass on her unique knowledge of the Doula business to her learners as well.
Meg enjoys time at the beach or pool, reading and spending time with her family and her amazing 6 year old Grandson!
Meg is honored to be a part of ProDoula’s mission to uplift and continuously move forward the Doula profession. She would love for you to join her in a training and following your passion.
