Meet Your ProDoula
Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I'm mom of three (adults now). I've worked as an esthetician for 14 years. My emphasis is on postquirurgic treatments as terapeuthic, relaxation massage and lymphatic drainage. Since 5 years i've been babysitting two kids in Brooklyn and that made me want to train myself as a Doula.
What led you to become a Doula?: I consider myself prone to care others and to help them in hard situations. My husband has been with cancer for three years and my love and care has made his experience more bearable. My experience raising up my own kids and now as a babysitter of two in this country has confirmed my feelings of compassion and my desire to help people. During my days in Brooklyn I found out that Doulas exist and that inspires me to become one. When women are pregnant they need a lot of company, help and compassion. I've felt the solitude a lot of women are in this country, and i would love to be there.
What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:
People perceive me as a happy, loveful, helpful, generous, thoughtful, committed. strong and also a good cooker 🙂
