Meet Your ProDoula
Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I am a four year nursing student looking to further my career and passion into something that really interest me. I have the medical knowledge and some experience within the medical field that I can bring into my work and care for new borns and mothers. I grew up nannying, and dreamt of the day I could start my own family. Doula work is going to make me comfortable with raising and creating my own family as well as helping and expanding the families around me.
What led you to become a Doula?: Following my passions and interests that I've found through nursing school and life. Learning about it in school and experiencing it in life I have been interested in pregnancies, birth, new borns, families and the beauty behind it since I watched my nieces and nephews get born. I wanted to be able to help my sister and other mothers in a way that changed their life. From care, compassion and communication, the way I can impact someones life now is heart warming and inspiring.
