Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: The experience that I think is beneficial to my work as a birth professional is my personal experiences of giving birth to 5 babies of my own. Although giving birth to children of my own may have given me the experience of what birth looks like, still I knew something that would benefit me even better. Taking a labor doula training course with Aisha Fanning from ProDoula helped me gain the knowledge and skills that was needed to benefit my work as a birth professional even more.

What led you to become a Doula?: Honestly my aunt one day told me that becoming a doula would be perfect for me. I’ve always knew what a doula was but didn’t know all the details that made up a doula. So I did a lot of research and found out for myself that being a doula would indeed be perfect for me. I already enjoy giving others emotional and physical support and knew that becoming a birth professional would be just the right fit for me.

What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:

People have said that I am very kind, compassionate, calm, patient, and pleasant to be around.
