Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I am a new postpartum doula, excited + humbled to offer my services. I have walked with countless mama friends through this postpartum season. Many moms, varying walks of life, drastically different stories, and all dealing with their emotions, sleep and newborn baby in various ways. Life experience teaches us so much, as my three personal postpartum seasons all had a unique set of challenges, and my training with ProDoula has expanded my knowledge!

What led you to become a Doula?: I see an unmet need in our nation. Being mama to a fresh baby is so beautiful, but that doesn't mean it's easy. There is a need for care and community that goes largely unmet in that season. I want moms to be able to rest and bond and heal. This tender and vulnerable season is so near to my heart, it's an honor to serve families in this way.

What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:

As soon as I told my community about my goal to be certified, I was met with endless excitement from friends and family letting me know that I am perfect for this role and it’s so “me”. I was overwhelmed with gratitude that they recognized my passion for newborns and their mama!
