Meet Your ProDoula
Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: For 12 years, I have served families in my community through early parenthood by caring for newborns-6 years old in various settings. In addition to being a Student Midwife, I am also a trained Birth Assistant for several home birth midwives in my area.
What led you to become a Doula?: My first pregnancy is when I, unbeknownst to me, became interested in becoming a birth professional. As I educated and advocated for myself I went on to have two incredible home birth experiences that left me feeling so powerful and capable. I immediately wanted this experience of nurturing, intimacy and safety for every single woman and birthing person!
What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:
I have heard many times that my energy is calming and comforting. I am told I am easy to talk to and level-headed, because of this family and friends seem to come to me often when feeling overwhelmed or out of control.
