Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I live in Baltimore, Maryland and my professional background is in health policy and management. My passion, though, is maternal and infant health. I grew up with a large extended family. It felt like there were babies everywhere! When I was 13, my mother gave birth to twins— my brother and sister. As the oldest child, I was “on call” all the time, and I learned a lot!

What led you to become a Doula?: My grandmother was a labor & delivery nurse. My mom was a baby whisperer and was all-in on gentle parenting before it was cool. All the women who came before me, and came before you, did this. You can do it too, and I’m just here to help.
