Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: Kailey Taylor is a Postpartum and Infant Care Doula based in Central Oregon, serving families in Bend, Redmond, Sunriver, LaPine, and Sisters. As a highly sensitive person (HSP), Kailey brings a unique level of empathy and attentiveness to her work, ensuring that every family she works with feels supported and cared for during this special time. With a wealth of experience in child and infant care, including working in a daycare with ages 6 weeks to 18 months, babysitting, nannying, and even serving as an AuPair in Switzerland, Kailey has honed her skills and developed a deep passion for helping new parents navigate the joys and challenges of parenthood. When she's not working, Kailey loves to take advantage of the great outdoors, enjoying activities such as camping, mountain biking, snowboarding, paddle boarding, hiking, and traveling. She is a proud pet parent to two cats, Bowie and June, and a 100lb German Shepherd named Smokey. A Bend local, born and raised, Kailey has tried leaving but always finds herself drawn back to the beauty and community of Central Oregon. She is married to her husband, Steele, and is a proud supporter of the LGBTQIA+ community. In addition to her work as a doula, Kailey is also a seasoned realtor in Central Oregon, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to help families find their dream homes.

What led you to become a Doula?: From a young age I've been drawn to taking care of little ones. Starting with my 7 nieces, and 4 nephews it wasn't long before I started being known as the neighborhood babysitter. Being apart of the birthing experience for my siblings and friends always drew me in to wanting to be an OB nurse, but the years of schooling never worked for me. Without realizing it I was already acting as a Doula to my loved ones. My therapist could see the joy it brought to me and the ease I had in working with newborns and mentioned what a Doula was. I was instantly drawn to the idea of pursing that and am so excited to be able to help birthing people and new parents in their postpartum journey.

What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:

“informative and thoroughly focused on the needs of her clients.”
“went above and beyond all of our expectations.”
“she was attentive, kind, and extremely knowledgeable.”
