Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I always knew from a young age that I had a passion for supporting families. Whether it was helping my relatives by babysitting their kids, working with other families in our community, or volunteering at children's church and in the nursery, I found joy in being someone they could all count on. Looking back, I can't recall a time when I wasn't involved in some form of caregiving. I’ve even taken classes in Early Childhood Development but it wasn’t until my own pregnancy that I discovered a passion for all things pregnancy, birth and motherhood related. I’ve since had the privilege of supporting a friend during her birth experience and got confirmation that this is what I'm meant to do! I'm determined to empower parents and provide them with the resources and guidance they want or need in their birth experiences for years to come.

What led you to become a Doula?: I naturally gravitate towards all things in the birth world and am an empath to my core. I realized the passion I have for doula work during my first pregnancy. The previous thought of giving birth filled me with fear so I had to navigate how to ease my mind. After stumbling upon a Doula online I found comfort and empowerment in her message, replacing my fear with a sense of confidence for giving birth. This ONE shift in my mindset was worth more than I can truly put into words and I'm grateful because it ultimately led me here! I now strive to impact your pregnancy and birthing experience in a positive and similar way.

What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:

People often describe me as a sweet, positive and patient person. My friends and family believe I was made for this line of work and that it “fits me perfectly¨.
