Meet Your ProDoula
Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I was a nanny for over 12 years, worked in childcare facilities throughout the same time frame, and have worked as a CNA for 5 years. I have studied birthing justice as well as psychology and culture all throughout my college career as well.
What led you to become a Doula?: I have always loved to work with people on a per person basis. After struggling with my own birth experiences I decided to leave the nursing program and dive deeper into birth support of all kinds. I have a passion for bridging the medical world with the personal desires of my clients. A positive birth experience is the start of a lifelong journey as a parent.
What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:
Kirsten was a godsend, she helped me to stay present in the moment, reminded me to listen to my instincts when I was feeling overwhelmed, and supported my decisions without hesitation.

I cannot say enough good things about our experience. Kirsten was so supportive and present throughout the whole pregnancy and fourth trimester. Our one on one classes were thoughtfully arranged with our specific needs in mind. She is a wealth of knowledge and cares so deeply and passionately. It’s a huge weight off knowing you have someone in your corner at all times.
