Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I have personally experienced high-risk pregnancies, miscarriage, traumatic births, NICU time, breastfeeding struggles, and postpartum depression and anxiety. I became a Doula to help families feel seen, understood and confident as they experience pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
What led you to become a Doula?: I know that every expectant family has a story... a story of challenges, joy, heartache, fear, love, and the process it took to get them where they are. Knowing peoples’ stories and walking with them through the special/vulnerable time of welcoming a new baby is an honor.
