Meet Your ProDoula
Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I've been an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician since 2014. About 5 years into my EMT career, I began looking into birth work, which led me to received training as a Birth Doula. I have been trained to do Placenta Encapsulation, which I am seeking certification through ProDoula, as well. I began midwifery school at the National Midwifery Institute in December of 2021, and I have completed the ProDoula Postpartum Doula and Infant Care training and have obtained my certification. Childbirth Education is also on my radar!
What led you to become a Doula?: All of my life, I have been very intrigued by pregnancy and birth. I used to watch birth vlogs on Youtube for fun when I was bored. XD Through my own pregnancies, I gathered information and realized how much I enjoyed learning for myself. I realized that I also wanted to teach and give people all the information they would need to make an educated decision for themselves and their babies. I love everything about pregnancy, labor and birth!
