Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: My whole life I have been drawn to serving others and helping others see their highest potential that they may not see in themselves. From working as an elementary school teacher to even a financial services representative, I've learned to work and serve a variety of different people with unique needs and meet them where they are. This relates to birth work in the sense that every woman's birth and her needs and desires for birth are completely unique to that client and her family.
What led you to become a Doula?: I became interested in birth work through the birth of my daughter. As soon as I became pregnant I began researching doulas in hopes to have one attend our birth. Little did I know there was so much more in store than that. After my daughter was born, I decided to leave my full-time job in the finance world and pursue my heart and calling to be a doula. It is my privilege and honor to support families in the same way that completely changed my life!
