Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I used to teach preschool and led a middle school youth group. I am good with children and experienced in mentoring. Those experiences are a huge part of my passion for serving others.
What led you to become a Doula?: Ever since I became pregnant with my first child, birth has been a passion and fascination of mine. I experience two different births; one with little support from my care provider, and one where I felt fully supported by my birth team. That lit a fire in me to support other women in labor, and help them achieve the birth they hope for.
What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:
I have been told that I am fun, kind and gentle. In regards to my business that I have been referred to as sweet and passionate.

What thoughts come to mind when you see a pregnant woman or brand new mom?: Becoming a mother is such a life changing and heart shaping experience that truly is like none other. I want to go and tell them to be prepared to love this little person more than they ever thought possible, but don’t be afraid to ask for help along the way.
What is the best gift you can give a new mom (as a Doula)?: My clients can be sure that they were a pivotal part of the decision making and feel that even if things didn’t go as planned, that they made the best decisions for their family.
What is your favorite TV show or movie?: My favorite movie is tie between Robin Hood Men in Tights & Zoolander.
What is your favorite place to vacation?: I love going to visit my family in Louisiana and boating in the bayou!
What is your favorite food?: I could eat sushi & fish burritos every day! (not together of course)
What is your favorite way to spend a day off?: Relaxing outdoors with my family and friends.
Who lives in your house?: My husband Nathan, my son Westley (9), my daughter Aurora(7), my son Charlie (2), my 99 year old Granny & my grumpy cat named Terrace.
