Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I'm a blessed Mama of two, who got the calling to become a Postpartum Doula after 10 years of being an Early Childhood Educator and seeing firsthand the need for postnatal support for new parents. With my formal education in Child Development and the comprehensive and immersive training I received for my Postpartum and Infant Care certification, I am able to provide an intentional and meaningful service to families within my community. I offer parents evidenced-based education, non-judgemental support and inclusive care during the postpartum transition, while also promoting physical and emotional recovery after birth.

What led you to become a Doula?: I became a Postpartum and Infant Care Doula so that I can provide compassionate and equitable support to all types of families during their unique journey into parenthood. Postpartum work is a way for me to integrate and blend my formal educational background with the knowledge and specialized skills I have gained through my Postpartum and Infant Care training. I believe that this type of service within a community can be transformative and empowering for families, leading to the health and well-being of both parent and child.
