Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I am a Certified Birth Doula based in Albany Ga. I am passionate about providing exceptional birth support to expectant mothers. With a deep understanding of the birthing process and a nurturing approach, I strive to create a calm and empowering environment for you and your baby. As your trusted companion throughout your pregnancy journey, I am dedicated to ensuring your comfort and helping you make informed decisions. From providing emotional support to offering pain relief techniques, I will be by your side every step of the way.

What led you to become a Doula?: I have always been interested in the process of giving birth but it wasn't until I worked at a prenatal chiropractor office that my desire to learn more grew. It was mostly from hearing different birth stores and unfortunately a lot of them did not turn out the way they hoped and desired. Some of them even led to them fearing of giving birth again. To me that was very heart breaking to hear when I know from learning-that our bodies instinctively know what to do but we have hyper-medicalized birth to the point where women feel like they can't trust their bodies. From that it gave me this drive to want to learn everything I can about birth so that I can help women to learn to trust their bodies again.

What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:

Most people would say that I am goofy and wildly curious person. I love to learn so naturally I am a book worm yet I prefer to read outdoors instead of indoors. My love language is food so any person that becomes a friend expect food as gift. I wish people would normalize gifting food more often. Its never failed to brighten people’s day when you make their favorite meal or dessert. Another comment I get is that I am very encouraging yet honest. I find truthfulness in a world of yes people is not helpful in reality of life. However I don’t believe in telling people they can’t do something – more of lets dive in a discuss how this will really work in your life.
