Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I've always been around children and would much rather hang out with them (or the dogs) at a party. In college I nannied a pair of twins for 3+ Years and since moving onto stereotypical "adult jobs" I've wanted nothing more than to get back to being with baby's and families. I get so much joy from seeing children experience the world for the first time. I just want to live the simple life of smelling the roses (or baby powder) and being there for others and making their lives easier is what makes me happy.

What led you to become a Doula?: I've always had a fascination with what the body can do and after learning about how the body can make a baby and birth and feed them that's all I've wanted to talk about. After chatting with friends and family during their own pregnancy journey I realized lots of people dont have the information I know. Since then I've wanted to share my knowledge & advocate for others during the pregnancy, birthing and post partum time in their life. I want people to know they matter and feeling all the feelings is okay and I got you!

What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:

My Friends have told me I’m a great listener, companionate, open, & loving. Even if we have not spoken in a while we always pick up where we left off and they really appreciate I’m always there for them.
