Meet Your Doula Trainer

Rainah Walker has always been a caregiver. From very young every single career she ever dreamed of was in service to others and their wellbeing. It is no surprise that her time at Xavier University of Louisiana led her to the field of Psychology. Rainah has always believed in the power of the mind and its ability to change the scope of our lives. After the typical millennial twisty-turny, post collegiate career journey, Rainah found herself married and pregnant. As a craver of “knowing all the things” she signed herself up for every single childbirth education course she could afford. It was in one of these classes she was introduced to Doulas as a profession and her mind has been blown ever since! The most fascinating part was, she had apparently been “doulaing” for years without knowing it. Shortly thereafter, she started her research into the field and fell into the lap of ProDoula. Rainah started VIP Doula Services in 2016 and has provided personalized and compassionate care to countless families in the Greater New Orleans area.

Through her own birth experiences, Rainah has seen 1st hand the power of just knowing what to expect during childbirth and has made it a mission to educate as many people as possible along the way. Through boutique group classes, and customizable private classes, her classes have been pivotal for persons who have attended. Rainah truly believes that education without fun is a lost lesson and she plans to bring a bit of delight to each Labor Doula Training she teaches.
